Entre l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration des exportations de brut nig\u00e9rien et un repositionnement strat\u00e9gique, la plateforme b\u00e9ninoise bouscule la hi\u00e9rarchie portuaire du golfe de Guin\u00e9e.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cotonou ne se contente plus de regarder passer les navires ; il les attire. Les chiffres consolid\u00e9s \u00e0 la fin d\u00e9cembre 2025, que La Marina BJ a pu consulter, r\u00e9v\u00e8lent une m\u00e9tamorphose spectaculaire. En douze mois, le volume global des marchandises est pass\u00e9 de 9,6 millions (2024) \u00e0 14,7 millions de tonnes \u00e0 fin d\u00e9cembre 2025. Un bond de g\u00e9ant qui propulse le poumon \u00e9conomique du B\u00e9nin dans une nouvelle dimension op\u00e9rationnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le premier moteur de cette performance record se trouve au bout du pipeline : le p\u00e9trole. Apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9marrage en mai 2024, l\u2019exportation du brut nig\u00e9rien a atteint son plein r\u00e9gime sur l&rsquo;ensemble de l&rsquo;exercice 2025. R\u00e9sultat : les exportations globales du port ont bondi de 74,8 %. Si le karit\u00e9 subit une l\u00e9g\u00e8re baisse de r\u00e9gime, l&rsquo;or noir a largement compens\u00e9, transformant les quais de Cotonou en une v\u00e9ritable rampe de lancement \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique pour la sous-r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"le-hold-up-du-transbordement\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-red-color\">Le hold-up du transbordement<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais la v\u00e9ritable surprise de ce bilan annuel r\u00e9side dans un chiffre quasi surprenant : +312,6 %. C\u2019est la croissance fulgurante du transbordement c&rsquo;est \u00e0 dire l&rsquo;op\u00e9ration logistique consistant \u00e0 d\u00e9charger des marchandises d&rsquo;un navire pour les recharger imm\u00e9diatement sur un autre afin qu&rsquo;elles atteignent leur destination finale. En clair, le port de Cotonou est confirm\u00e9 plaque tournante o\u00f9 les grands navires d\u00e9posent des cargaisons redistribu\u00e9es ensuite vers d&rsquo;autres ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le volume est ainsi pass\u00e9 de 288 000 tonnes \u00e0 plus de 1,1 million de tonnes en un an. Comment expliquer un tel succ\u00e8s ? D&rsquo;apr\u00e8s notre sp\u00e9cialiste \u00e0 la r\u00e9daction, alors que plusieurs ports majeurs de la c\u00f4te ouest-africaine ont lutt\u00e9 contre des congestions chroniques en 2025, le port de Cotonou a su capitaliser sur sa fluidit\u00e9. Il est devenu une plateforme de redistribution durable, captant les flux que ses voisins ne pouvaient plus absorber. Une strat\u00e9gie de repositionnement qui installe le port b\u00e9ninois comme un hub incontournable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"le-cordon-ombilical-de-lhinterland\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-red-color\">Le cordon ombilical de l&rsquo;hinterland<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Le secteur de l&rsquo;importation affiche une sant\u00e9 de fer, avec une progression de 29,7 % pour atteindre 8,2 millions de tonnes. Cette dynamique est port\u00e9e par une consommation r\u00e9gionale robuste, mais surtout par la vitalit\u00e9 des corridors vers le Niger et le Nigeria. Malgr\u00e9 les soubresauts diplomatiques pass\u00e9s, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique a repris ses droits via les axes S\u00e9gbana et Malanville. Le transport fluvial et la reprise des flux vers les g\u00e9ants de l\u2019hinterland, coupl\u00e9s aux grands travaux de stockage de la SONABHY, confirment que Cotonou reste leur porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e naturelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette effervescence a une traduction physique concr\u00e8te : 841 navires ont accost\u00e9 en 2025, contre 725 l\u2019ann\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, soit une hausse de 16 %. Pour ne pas s\u2019asphyxier sous sa propre r\u00e9ussite, le port a d\u00fb acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer sa cadence. Les op\u00e9rations de tare, ces mouvements logistiques li\u00e9s au traitement des contenants vides et au pesage des flux, ont ainsi augment\u00e9 de 74,6 %.
