Lors de l\u2019ouverture de la session ordinaire du Comit\u00e9 Directeur National de lutte contre le travail des enfants (CDN) le 29 octobre 2024, la ministre du Travail et de la Fonction Publique, Adidjatou Mathys, a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 deux projets de lutte contre le travail des enfants, soutenus par le Bureau International du Travail (BIT) et le gouvernement du Luxembourg. Pr\u00e9vu pour d\u00e9buter en novembre de cette ann\u00e9e d&rsquo;apr\u00e8s la ministre, ce double engagement vise \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un environnement plus s\u00fbr et \u00e9quitable pour les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations au B\u00e9nin.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les deux projets annonc\u00e9s r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 des enjeux sp\u00e9cifiques. Le premier, dirig\u00e9 par le BIT, cible la r\u00e9duction du travail domestique et l\u2019\u00e9conomie des soins, des secteurs souvent marqu\u00e9s par l&rsquo;exploitation infantile. L\u2019objectif est de sensibiliser les familles et les communaut\u00e9s aux risques du travail domestique pour les enfants et de proposer des alternatives s\u00fbres pour leur \u00e9panouissement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le second projet, financ\u00e9 par le gouvernement luxembourgeois, s\u2019intitule \u00ab Au soutien du B\u00e9nin pour la r\u00e9alisation des droits des enfants \u00e0 risque ou affect\u00e9s par la traite, le travail des enfants et ses pires formes \u00bb. Ce programme vise \u00e0 construire un r\u00e9seau de protection solide pour les enfants vuln\u00e9rables et \u00e0 aborder les causes profondes de l\u2019exploitation, telles que la pauvret\u00e9, l\u2019acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation et les faiblesses du syst\u00e8me de protection des droits de l\u2019enfant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"un-engagement-renforce-pour-les-droits-fondamentaux\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-red-color\">Un engagement renforc\u00e9 pour les droits fondamentaux<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces initiatives font partie d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie nationale plus large pour s\u00e9curiser les droits des enfants au B\u00e9nin. Elles t\u00e9moignent \u00e9galement de l\u2019importance de la coop\u00e9ration internationale dans cette lutte. En tenant cette session du CDN qui prend fin ce jeudi 31 octobre 2024, le minist\u00e8re du travail cherche \u00e0 renforcer les actions entreprises et \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9j\u00e0 obtenus pour ajuster ses strat\u00e9gies face aux d\u00e9fis persistants dans la lutte contre le travail des enfants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ces deux projets s\u2019inscrivent dans la volont\u00e9 du B\u00e9nin de se conformer aux normes internationales en mati\u00e8re de droits de l\u2019enfant, en visant \u00e0 instaurer un environnement o\u00f9 les enfants peuvent grandir en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9.
